Bio
China Anne McClain is an American child actress best known for her starring role as Jazmine Payne on the television comedy-drama series House of Payne, since 2006.
A native of Atlanta, GA, McClain discovered her love of acting while memorising the lines of her favourite movies and acting them out with her siblings, adding their own new twist.
Her passion for pretending and singing eventually captured the attention of director Rob Hardy (The Gospel), producer Will Packer (Stomp the Yard, This Christmas) and writer-director-actor Tyler Perry.
In 2007, China Anne co-starred in the movie Tyler Perry's Daddy's Little Girls, with her real life sisters Sierra and Lauryn McClain, as well as actors Idris Elba (The Reaping, American Gangster) and Gabriel Union (Bad Boys II, Bring it On).
China Anne played opposite Oscar Award winning actor Forest Whitaker in the film Hurricane Season, as his only child Alana. This drama affirms the resilience of the human spirit based on true events surrounding Hurricane Katrina.
