Joyce Giraud (also credited as Joyce Giraud de Ohoven) is a Puerto Rican actress, reality television personality and model who is a two-time Miss Puerto Rico and the second runner up in the 1998 Miss Universe pageant. She also represented Puerto Rico at Miss World 1994.
On television, she is best known for her recurring role as Angel on the television comedy-drama series House of Payne; and for starring on the fourth season of the reality franchise The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
She won the lead role of Dona Flor in a modern version of the classic Coralito tiene dos maridos, her acting debut. As a follow-up, Joyce landed the co-starring role of Piper in USA Network's Good vs. Evil and soon after, won the co-starring role in a pilot titled The Freddy Soto Project, after which Joyce also captured the lead role in a national Coca-Cola commercial campaign directed by Bryan Singer, making her dream of working with the acclaimed director a reality.
The nationally televised talent show Destination Stardom named Joyce Best New Star Model of 2000. Joyce has graced the covers of countless national and international magazines and has been in many national and international commercials.
She was a correspondent/host for several versions of E! Entertainment Television's Wild On series and has been featured on Access Hollywood, Extra and Entertainment Tonight. She's hosted various internationally televised specials and concerts.
In addition, Joyce was crowned 1994 Miss World Puerto Rico, 1996 Queen of the Atlantis International, 1997 Miss Venus International as well as the 1998 Miss Universe Puerto Rico where she was the second runner-up at the Miss Universe Pageant.
Joyce landed a recurring role as Ursula, the dream girl of Disney's The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and was the lead on the America's Next Top Model parody for the Writers Guild.
She showed her comedic abilities in the feature film Miss Castaway next to Eric Roberts and Michael Jackson and showed her softer side as Claudia in the feature film Latin Dragon with Gary Busey.
She played a vampire and fulfilled one of her dreams when she worked next to her childhood hero Lynda Wonder Woman Carter in the feature film Slayer. She became a regular on the hit series Tyler Perry's House of Payne and landed a role in David Fincher's The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and was the lead actress on the dramatic series Siberia.
Joyce holds two bachelor's degrees, one in special education and one in social work. Joyce is passionate about her work with the children's charity UNESCO, which led her to create the international beauty pageant called Queen of the Universe.
She is married to Academy Award-nominated producer Michael Ohoven with whom she has two sons.
