Taylor Kinney is an American actor and model best known for his television roles as Luke Gianni on Fashion House (2006), as Glenn Morrison on Trauma (2009-2010) and as Mason Lockwood on The Vampire Diaries, in 2010.
He currently stars as Kelly Severide, a brash lieutenant with an unflappable veneer who is fighting his own demons, in the procedural firefighting drama series Chicago Fire, since 2012.
Born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Kinney got his big break as a series regular on the American series Fashion House alongside Bo Derek and Morgan Fairchild. He has also had guest-starring roles on Bones and What About Brian.
Kinney's film credits include Furnace, White Air and the indie film Scorpio Men on Prozac, in 2010.
Before appearing in television and films, Kinney began his career in the theatre where his credits include Fallout and A Streetcar Named Desire.
Kinney, an experienced surfer, currently resides in Los Angeles.
