Jesse Borego is an American actor best known for his role as intelligence agent Gael Ortega in the third season of the action television series 24, from 2003-2004.
Born in San Antonio, Texas, Borego studied theatre and dance at The University of Incarnate World. He also studied at The California Institute of Arts where he furthered his acting studies.
In the early 80's he took part in an open audition for the television series, Fame, and was given the role of "Jesse Velasquez", he would go on to play the role for the next 3 years.
Jesse returned to the stage where he appeared in productions at the Joseph Papp Theatre in New York City, as well as The Mark Taper Forum in L.A.
He also had standout performances in films like Blood In, Blood Out and Follow Me Home.
In 1990 he began Lupita Productions, which has subsequently produced concerts and theatrical productions. Producing credits for Lupita also include two 16mm short films - El Suendo de Simon (1993) by James Borrego and Flattime (1995) by Jimmy Santiago Baca.
Jesse is comfortable behind the scenes as a producer, on the stage performing, or on camera.
