Michaela McManus is an American actress best known for her television roles as Lindsey Strauss on One Tree Hill (2008), as A.D.A. Kim Greylek on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2008-2009) and as the werewolf Jules on The Vampire Diaries, from 2010-2011.
She also had a starring role as Tara, Rex's (Dylan Minette) tennis coach and confidante, on the police procedural fantasy drama television series Awake, in 2012.
Growing up in Rhode Island, McManus always had a strong focus on acting and theatre. She was a theatre major at Fordham University, studied Shakespeare at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, and attended New York University's Graduate Acting Program.
McManus appeared in the short film The Beautiful Lie, which won the 2006 MTV Movie Award for Best Student Filmmaker and sparked the start of her career. Other film credits include the upcoming Screen Media release About Fifty and the independent feature Cafe.
On television, McManus played ADA Kim Greylek on NBC's Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. McManus has had major recurring roles on the The CW's hit shows One Tree Hill and The Vampire Diaries.
She performed in the Ridley Scott/Tony Scott-produced pilot Nomads, and has guest starred on CSI: NY, CSI: Miami, Castle and The Paul Reiser Show.
In 2015 she began starring in the NBC period drama series Aquarius.
Aside from her work on screen, McManus has also starred in several stage productions in her young career. She currently lives in Los Angeles, California.
