Virginia Williams is an American actress best known for her starring role as Lauren Reed in the legal drama television series Fairly Legal, since 2011.
A Memphis, Tennessee native, Williams first began her acting education in New York, earning a B.A. in Theatre Performance from Fordham University at Lincoln Center and later studying Shakespeare at Oxford University and at the British American Drama Academy in London.
After spending two years on the soap operas One Life to Live as Lorna and As the World Turns as Brandy, Williams made the move to primetime, and is known for such roles as Bianca, the series lead on Lifetime's Monarch Cove; Claudia on the sitcom How I Met Your Mother; Shelley Long's jilted-at-the-altar daughter in the film Honeymoon with Mom; and two seasons on the cult classic, Strangers with Candy.
She has also guest starred or recurred in numerous television programs, including Two and a Half Men, Better Off Ted, Veronica Mars and Cold Case, to name just a few, and has had leading roles on multiple pilots for ABC, FOX, NBC, Lifetime, The WB and USA.
Williams currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband, Bradford Bricken.
