Sam Hennings is an American actor best known to television viewers for his starring role as Charlie 'Whitehead' White in the comedy-drama police procedural Memphis Beat, from 2010-2011.
Born in Macon, Georgia, and raised mostly in Athens, Georgia, Hennings has lived most of his career as an actor and writer in New York City, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Hennings has appeared in more than 60 films and television shows including the leading role in The Work and the Glory and its two sequels, Martin Scorsese's The Aviator, Havoc, Ten Tricks, Drop Zone, Shout, Seasons of the Heart, Point Last Seen, The Hank Gathers Story, Gideon Oliver, The Magnificent Seven, 24, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, ER Kingpin, E-Ring and Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Hennings has also had recurring roles on JAG, Resurrection Boulevard, Pensacola, Wings of Gold and Saving Grace.
Hennings can also be seen in the film Stolen, starring Jon Hamm. His writing projects include the screenplay The Littlest Cowboy.
