Bio
Roger Howarth is an American actor best known for his soap opera roles as Todd Manning in One Life to Live (1992-2003) and as Paul Ryan in As the World Turns, from 2003-2010.
He won a Daytime Emmy award for his role in One Life to Live in 1994 (and received another nomination for the role in 1995) and was nominated for a Daytime Emmy for his role in As the World Turns.
After spending a short time studying at George Washington University, Howarth decided to pursue acting and enrolled in the Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center.
While enrolled, he performed at prestigious regional theatres, such as Williamstown (Maryland), Stagetown (Springfield, Maryland) and the Cleveland Playhouse.
On stage, Howarth performed on Broadway in The Lion in Winter. In addition, he has appeared in a New York Shakespeare Festival production of Macbeth and in the WPA's The White Rose.
Howarth also played Professor Hetson on Dawson's Creek. His other television credits include Prey, Diagnosis Murder and the daytime dramas Loving and Guiding Light.
Howarth met actress Cari Stahler in New York City, when he lived above the café where she worked. She asked him out on a date, which took place at Coney Island. The two later fell in love and married. Howarth and Stahler have a son, Julian, and a daughter (born April 2002).
Howarth resides in New York City.
