Matthew Rogers is an American football coach, television host and a finalist on the third season of the reality competition television series American Idol, in 2004.
He has been the host of the Discovery Channel reality series Really Big Things since 2007.
Rogers is a native of Rancho Cucamonga, California. He began singing at age 5. He attended Sierra Vista Middle School in Covina, California and later attended South Hills High School in West Covina, California, where he played football.
In the 2001 Rose Bowl he was an offensive lineman for the winning college football team of the University of Washington.
He is currently the football coach at Mission Viejo High School in Mission Viejo, California.
On March 24, 2004, Rogers became the second of the 12 finalists to be voted off the show.
He also appeared on the season finale of American Idol 7 as a correspondent in runner-up, David Archuleta's hometown.
Since his appearance on American Idol, Rogers has served as co-host for American Idol Extra and worked as a correspondent on several sports and entertainment shows, including Turner Sports College Football, The Best Damn Sports Show Ever, Access Hollywood and Entertainment Tonight.
He was the host of the reality competition series There Goes the Neighborhood in 2009.
He has a wife named Teri and a son, Brayden.
