Bio
Sarah Harding is an English pop singer-songwriter, actress, model and television presenter best known for being a member of the pop group Girls Aloud, from 2002-2009.
Harding rose to fame in 2002 after becoming a member of Girls Aloud through ITV's reality television programme Popstars: The Rivals. They have become one of the few reality television acts to achieve continued success, amassing a fortune of £25 million by May 2009.
With Girls Aloud, Harding has been successful in achieving a string of 20 consecutive UK top ten singles (including four number ones), two UK number one albums, and received nominations for five BRIT Awards, winning Best Single in 2009 for "The Promise".
Project G was the band Sarah recorded with before she hit the big time with Girls Aloud. The dance-themed recordings since leaked onto the Internet and were even mistaken as new tracks at one point, sparking press speculation that Harding was going solo.
Since joining Girls Aloud, Sarah has featured on one solo track - a cover of the Iggy Pop hit, Real Wild Child. The track featured on the soundtrack to the hit movie Wild Child.
Sarah also starred as Jade Jennings in the low budget movie, Bad Day (2007), though the film failed to get off the ground.
Sarah promoted Ultimo underwear as part of a £100,000 deal from 2006-2008. Her looks also got her noticed in FHM before she was famous when she was shortlisted as one of the first FHM Hight Street Honeys.
In March 2010 Harding announced her first solo album, mentioning Lady Gaga as her biggest influence and inspiration.
In January 2011, Harding and DJ Tom Crane, whom she had been dating since June 2007, announced their engagement. He proposed on New Year's Eve 2010 while on holiday in the Maldives.
Also in 2011, Harding began hosting the reality dating game show Dating in the Dark, for the show's third season.
