Bio
Claire Gordon-Webster is a British-born South African actress best known for her starring role as Rachel Churchill, the on-the-edge, provocative daughter of the Churchill family, in the SABC1 drama series Fallen, in 2011.
Claire was born in Basingstoke, UK. She moved to South Africa at age 8 and attended St. Mary's School for Girls. It was here she realised her passion for acting, performing a variety of roles from Mr Bennet in Pride and Prejudice to Billy Flynn in the musical Chicago.
Her tall height and strong features made her the perfect candidate for playing male roles at an all girl's high school, an experience she found challenging and amusing.
After school she did a BA Dramatic Art at the University of the Witwatersrand, majoring in performance and creative writing.
Highlights in her varsity career include Yerma in Frederico Garcia Lorca's Yerma, Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream and Brittany in Greg Homman's Previously Owned.
She has experience in facilitating Improvisation and Storytelling Workshops for both primary and high school learners. Claire also produces and performs with a Theatre Sports troupe and toured her two-woman show A Gift for a Sweetheart with Brigette Barnett.
Claire is interested in all forms of storytelling and is inspired by the opportunity to communicate with an audience whether that is through facilitating a workshop, writing a play or performing on the stage or screen.
Prior to landing her first series regular role in Fallen, she played the role of Rene in the e.tv soapie Scandal!.
