Bio
Jeff Green is an English comedian now resident in Australia who has had three full-length comedy specials on British television, to go with an extensive live performance resume.
Green has established himself as one of the most popular comics working internationally today. His razor-sharp observations combined with an abundant natural charm have marked him out as one of the brightest talents on the British comedy scene.
In 1994 Jeff was nominated for the prestigious Perrier Award at the Edinburgh festival. He also hosted The Comedy Club (LWT) and toured with Jo Brand.
1996 proved to be a great year for Jeff with a sell out solo tour of the UK and a 45 minute television special - Jeff Green Live (ITV) which was recorded at Her Majesty's Theatre in London's West End.
In 1997 Jeff played to sell-out audiences at the Melbourne and Sydney comedy festivals. He also had his second ITV special Jeff Green-Up West which was recorded at The Gielgud Theatre in London's West End.
1998 saw Jeff writing and performing his third Christmas special on ITV - You're Only Human with Jeff Green as well as his first sell out West End run - Love Bites at the Apollo Theatre.
Rounding off the Millennium in 1999 Jeff made his 4th appearance on The Clive James Show; his 3rd appearance on BBC1's They Think it's All Over and a record breaking 5th spot on BBC2's Never Mind the Buzzcocks.
Jeff enjoyed a sell-out run at the 2000 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. 2001 saw Jeff touring his new stand up show across the UK and Australia, record a full length Comedy Store special for Channel 5.
In 2002 Jeff enjoyed another sell out run in Edinburgh, toured the UK and Australia with his new stand up show and was seen on BBC1's Jo Brands Hot Potatoes as team captain.
Rounding off the year he released his first book: The A-Z of Living Together which went to no 5 in the Sunday Times best sellers list, staying in the top 10 for 5 weeks and selling 125,000 copies. He also found time to release his first CD: Jeff Green - Debauched Cherub.
In 2003 he performed at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, finished his follow-up book: The A-Z of Being Single and recorded a live video from London's West-End - Back from the Bewilderness.
In 2004 Jeff performed again at the Edinburgh fringe and toured the UK with his live stand-up show From A-Z. In 2005 Jeff wrote his third book: The A-Z of Having a Baby.
In 2006/7 he recorded two series of The Green Guide to Life for BBC Radio 2 and toured the UK and Australia with his stand-up show Personal.
In 2007 he appeared on BBC1's Celebrity Masterchef and recorded his third series of the The Green Guide to Life for BBC Radio 2. 2009 saw him perform on Michael Mcintyre's Comedy Roadshow (BBC1) and as a team captain on Bill Bailey's Birdwatching Bonanza (Sky1).
He lives in Melbourne.
