Bio
Ed Sanders is an English carpenter and television personality best known as a carpenter on the reality makeover television series Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.
Making the move from England in the Spring of 2004, Sanders landed his first job in American television on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.
A native Londoner, Ed Sanders comes from a well-rounded background in the entertainment industry. From the early age of 11, he had his first experience with acting appearing as a drummer in a rock video. It was then that he discovered his passion for entertaining.
From that time forward he followed up with various acting and hosting jobs in local theatres, cable networks and commercial spots. From the raw and chaotic travel game show Flying Start, to landing a spot on the ever popular entertainment news show The Buzz, Ed was busy building an impressive resume.
Ed had landed his very own pop-culture TV show, Toasted. After hosting 26 episodes and interviewing some of the biggest names in music, film and television Ed moved away from hosting and went back to acting.
He won a lead role on the award-winning television drama Dream Team, as Eddie Moliano. While working for two seasons on the show he was also simultaneously hosting a popular dating show, Dial-A-Date.
Once he landed the job as host for Fear Factor UK in 2002, his popularity skyrocketed and he became a household name all over the United Kingdom. Traveling the globe to exotic locations such as South Africa and Argentina only added to the excitement of this opportunity for him.
Shortly after wrapping up his 3rd season with Fear Factor UK, he filmed three Independent Films with some of England's hottest up-and-coming directors.
In 2003, Ed co-hosted Demolition Day for England's Channel 4. Demolition Day was an exciting action-packed game show that involved two teams who built and then eventually tried to destroy each other's structure with demo equipment; the team with longest standing structure wins.
In early 2004, Ed moved his wife and young son to California to try his luck at the American entertainment industry. Soon after the move, Ed acquired a position with the design team on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.
