Scott Wilson is an American actor best known for his starring role as Hershel Greene in the television horror series The Walking Dead.
He is also known for his role as Judd Travers in the Shiloh film trilogy: Shiloh (1996), Shiloh 2: Shiloh Season (1999) and Saving Shiloh (2006).
From his spectacular motion picture debut in 1967 in two of the motion picture industry's most classic films, In the Heat of the Night for director Norman Jewison and In Cold Blood for Richard Brooks, to Castle Keep for Sydney Pollack, Great Gatsby for Jack Clayton, The Ninth Configuration for William Peter Blatty, Dead Man Walking with Tim Robbins, Year of the Quiet Sun and Our God's Brother for Krzysztof Zanussi, to his work for young directors such as Patty Jenkins' Monster, Phil Morrison's Junebug, Mia Goldman's Open Window and Dale Rosenbloom's Shiloh, Scott Wilson has consistently achieved the highest industry and critical response.
Whether in a leading role or as a special guest, Wilson's performances have traditionally been singled out as highlights in more than 70 key motion pictures and carefully selected television films during the course of his career.
He played casino owner Sam Braun, father of Catherine Willows, in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
He has won numerous festival awards and was honoured by Screen Actors Guild with the Ralph Morgan award for dedication to the cause of actors.
Wilson lives in Los Angeles and has been married for many years to artist/activist/attorney, Heavenly Wilson.
