Shiri Appleby is an American actress best known for her leading role as Liz Parker in the sci-fi television series Roswell, from 1999-2002.
Appleby plays Liz Parker, one of the human teenagers who knows the secret of her three alien friends in the New Mexico town made famous by the supposed crash of an alien spacecraft in 1947.
She also starred as Cate Cassidy in the television drama series Life Unexpected, from 2010-2011.
Appleby’s other television credits include the television movies Perfect Family (1992) with Jennifer O’Neill and Bruce Boxleitner and Family Prayers (1993) with Paul Reiser and Anne Archer. She also starred on Norman Lear’s series Sunday Dinner.
She's also made appearances in the TV shows Beverley Hills 90210, 7th Heaven, ER, Baywatch Knots Landing and Who's The Boss.
Appleby’s first feature film was Lawrence Kasdan’s black comedy I Love You to Death (1990), with Kevin Kline, River Phoenix and Tracey .
After Roswell ended in 2002 she was cast as a lead in the independent film Swimfan85 (2002) and since then her film credits have included The Battle Of Shaker Heights (2003), Undertow (2004), I-See-You.Com (2005), Havoc (2005) and The Killing Floor (2006).
She once dated Linkin Park drummer Rob Bourdon, with whom she attended the same high school. In June 2007, she began dating actor Zach Braff and she was with him in her summer vacation in Hawaii
Appleby lives in Los Angeles.
