Bio
Jessica Lu is an American actress best known for her starring (initially recurring) role as Ming Huang in the teen comedy-drama television series Awkward.
She also plays the role of Tabitha on Ryan Murphy's (Glee) show The New Normal and has appeared in the TV series Law & Order: LA, CSI and 90210.
Jessica grew up in the Chicago suburb of Schaumburg, Illinois where she spent her childhood and high school days developing her love of theatre and the performing arts. She went on to attend Columbia College in Chicago where she starred as the lead role in the musical, Flower Drum Song.
Jessica graduated with honours from Columbia College in Chicago with a degree in Musical Theatre Performance.
Jessica's talents range from musical theatre to modeling to acting on film. As a successful model she has worked with established brands including: Got Milk?, Claire's Boutique, Marshall Fields, Montgomery Wards, Sears, and Carson Pirie Scott.
Her modeling career also includes commercial work for Samsung, Kaiser Permanente, McDonalds, Ford Motors and Orville Redenbacher Popcorn.
