Jajube Mandiela is a Canadian actress best known for her starring role as Chantay Black in the teen drama television series Degrassi: The Next Generation, since 2005.
With a strong gymnastics background with the University of Toronto Gymnastics Club, she had no trouble jumping into the role as a Degrassi spirit squad cheerleader.

Jajube is no stranger to the stage either, having received rave reviews for her portrayal of Binti, a young Malawian girl orphaned by AIDS in Theatre Direct Canada's production of Binti's Journey.
In 2010, Jajube brought to the life the title role in the stage play Sia. About a former Liberian child soldier and his sister, Sia was a huge success at the Toronto Fringe Festival, receiving 5 stars, an extended run, and being chosen as a Patron's Pick.
Jajube also traveled to India in 2010 to build a school with the organization "Free The Children". A documentary of the trip was made for MuchMusic in Canada.
When not on stage or in front of the camera the mezzo soprano singer also enjoys playing the guitar and piano, skating, rock climbing, Taekwondo and snowboarding.
