Bio
Lucas Grabeel is an American actor, singer, dancer, songwriter, director and producer best known for his role as Ryan Evans in Disney Channel Original Movie's High School Musical (2006) and its sequels High School Musical 2 (2007) and High School Musical 3: Senior Year (2008).
He is also known for his role as Ethan Dalloway in the third and fourth installments of the Halloweentown series: Halloweentown High (2004) and Return to Halloweentown (2006); and for starring as Toby Kennish in the family drama television series Switched at Birth.
A Springfield, Missouri native, Grabeel moved to Los Angeles in 2003 and soon began working on the Disney Channel original movies Halloweentown High and Return To Halloweentown.
In 2006, he was cast as Ryan Evans in the Disney Channel telefilm High School Musical and he became an active part of an ongoing media phenomenon that has encompassed a 2007 telefilm sequel High School Musical 2 and a 2008 feature film High School Musical 3: Senior Year; directed by Kenny Ortega.
Grabeel has made television guest appearances on TV series such as CSI, Family Guy, Boston Legal, 'Til Death, Veronica Mars and Smallville.
Some of his other movies include, The Adventures of Food Boy, Alice Upside Down, and College Road Trip.
In 2008, he appeared in the movie Milk, directed by Gus Van Sant, starring Sean Penn. He also co-starred in the film What's Wrong with Virginia, directed by Dustin Lance Black.
