Mxolisi Masango is a South African journalist, actor and presenter best known for his recurring role as computer geek Zach on the SABC1 soap opera Generations: The Legacy.
Born in Leandra in Mpumalanga, he began his entertainment career as a dancer, joining Phly Boys at the age of 18. He then won an audition to be the puppeteer and manager of the 2010 FIFA World Cup mascot Zakumi.
Since 2011 he has worked as a current affairs journalist and anchor, working for such stations as Arise TV in London, the Turkish channel TRT, YFM and ANN7. He also hosted the SABC1 shows Sunday Live and Expressions, among others.
Mxolisi landed his first professional acting role as presenter Spoke on the third season of the SABC1 youth drama series Tshisa, in 2012.
In 2013 he had a starring role on the Mzansi Magic miniseries isiPantsula, which revolves around a disillusioned ex-Pantsula dancer who runs his uncle's spaza.
In 2016 landed the recurring role of computer genius Zach on Generations: The Legacy and the following year began co-hosting the SABC1 youth current affairs talk show Expressions, which premiered on 9 February, 2017.
