David Hoflin is a Swedish-born Australian actor best known for his television roles as Jason Bates in Ocean Girl, as Oliver Barnes in Neighbours and as Tommy Madsen in Alcatraz.
He also had a starring role as Charlie Rider in the short-lived NBC drama series Crossbones, in 2014.
Hoflin got his start playing Meryl Streep's son in Fred Schepisi's film A Cry in the Dark. Shortly after, he went on to star in the lead role of Jason Bates on the Australian series Ocean Girl and eventually starred as Oliver Barnes on the popular show Neighbours.
After playing opposite Geoffrey Rush and Jesse Spencer in Swimming Upstream,he officially caught the acting bug.
Since moving to the U.S., Hoflin has had roles on a number of American television series. He joined the cast of J.J. Abrams' Alcatraz in the role of Tommy Madsen and recurred on such series as Touch opposite Kiefer Sutherland, Major Crimes and NCIS. He also made guest lead appearances in Criminal Minds and Big Love for HBO.
Hoflin was recognised as a young actor to watch in 2012 by Zooey magazine along with Harry Shum Jr, Chris D'Elia, Max Greenfield and Gabriel Mann.
