Lyle Brocato is an American actor best known for his recurring role as Peter on the comedy-drama police procedural television series Common Law, in 2012.
Brocato was born in Patterson, Louisiana. After graduating from LSU in 2002, Lyle and wife Angelena Swords moved to Los Angeles. He landed his first speaking part on the short-lived CBS show Clubhouse with Dean Cain and Mare Winningham.
After doing commercial work over the next few years, he finally got his foot in the door to film roles. He booked small parts in films such as Life Is Not a Fairytale: The Fantatsia Barrino Story, Solstice, and Deal, with Burt Reynolds.
Lyle also worked on the Hillary Duff TV movie Beauty and the Briefcase, and the indie film The Somnambulist. In 2010 he had his first lead role in the TV movie Revenge of the Bridesmaids on ABC Family and the supporting role of Jim on the Michael Mann produced film The Fields, starring Sam Worthington and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
He has been married to actress Angelena Swords since 5 January, 2001.
