Nasim Pedrad is an Iranian-born American comedienne and actress best known as a cast member on the sketch comedy television series Saturday Night Live, since 2009.
Pedrad has put a unique stamp on the show with her impressions including Kim Kardashian and Barbara Walters. Her characters range from quirky, parent-loving character "Bedelia" to underground rocker "Lil Blaster."
Pedrad joined the cast of Saturday Night Live in the 2009-10 season from The Groundlings Theater in Los Angeles, where she trained and performed in the Sunday Company. She also performed at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in Los Angeles.
Her one-woman show Me, Myself and Iran debuted at the UCB, and was selected for the 2007 HBO Comedy Festival in Las Vegas.
Originally from Tehran, Iran, Pedrad was raised in Irvine, California. She received her degree from UCLA's School of Theater.
Pedrad currently resides in New York City.
