Bio
Lauren Lapkus is an American comedienne and actress best known for her starring role as Dee Dee, Chelsea's sweet, chaste and charmingly odd roommate, in the short-lived television sitcom Are You There, Chelsea?, in 2012.
Originally from Evanston, Illinois, Lapkus graduated from DePaul University and performed all over Chicago, including at iO and Second City.
After a whirlwind year in New York City, she moved to Los Angeles, where she can be seen performing sketch and improvisation at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre.
Her credits include the feature The To Do List with Aubrey Plaza and Bill Hader, The Middle and Jimmy Kimmel Live! where she appeared in a segment with Ryan Reynolds.
She also performed onstage in Story Pirates at the Geffen Playhouse, an interactive sketch show inspired by stories that were written by kids.
