Nina Wassung is a South African actress best known for her television roles as Buks Pienaar's granddaughter Helen Rautenbach in the M-Net soapie Egoli (2001-2002) and as Claudius's housekeeper Liza in the kykNET comedy-drama Geraldina die Tweede, in 2007.She also had a supporting role in the e.tv soapie Backstage and in 2002 was nominated in FHM's 100 Sexiest Women poll.Nina also played the role of Candy in the 2002 feature film Slash (directed by Neal Sundstrom) and the role of Candice in the 2003 feature film Hey Boy, directed by Andre Odendaal.In 2002 she was offered a role in the Jerry Springer film Citizen Verdict but was ditched after she asked to discuss a sex scene her character would have been involved in.Nina was born in Pietersburg and studied Drama, English and Psychology at the University of Cape Town.
