Thishiwe Ziqubu is a South African actress and writer best known for her starring role as Skiets in the 2014 romantic action film Hard to Get.
She also had a starring role as Mandisa in the fifth segment ("Your Move!") of the e.tv anthology series Mzansi Love: Kasi Style, in 2012. In 2014 she had a starring role in an episode of Season 2 as well.
Thishiwe is a script writer on the e.tv soapie Rhythm City and also played the lead role in the movie Man on Ground, which was a nominee at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival for best foreign film.
In 2014 she starred as the lead character, Skiets, in the romantic action film Hard to Get. Following her role in the movie numerous television roles followed in 2015, on series including Rhythm City, Tempy Pushas, High Rollers and It's Complicated. She was also a guest on the environmental show Code Green, on SABC1.
In 2015 she began a recurring role on the second season of the SABC3 telenovela High Rollers. She was promoted to main cast after several episodes but on 9 September, 2015 it was announced by the production that she had suddenly withdrew from the series for "personal reasons". She was replaced in the role of Thandi by Nunu Khumalo.
