Bio
Kris Humphries is an American professional basketball player best known as a power forward for the Utah Jazz, the Toronto Raptors, the Dallas Mavericks and the New Jersey Nets.
He is also known for his 72-day marriage to socialite and reality television star Kim Kardashian, which ended in an acrimonious divorce.
Preceding his NBA career, which started at 19, Kris attended his father's alma marter, the University of Minnesota. After his freshman year, Kris was the Utah Jazz's 2004 first round pick, and overall 14th in the draft.
Before the 6'9" power forward's love for basketball, his interest lied in swimming. He remains the current USS National record holder for the 50-metre freestyle in the 10 and under division. Kris was ranked #1 in six events, second only to US Olympic gold medallist Michael Phelps.
At 12, Kris gave up swimming and began to develop his renowned basketball skills. He was the star at Hopkins High School in Minnesota, where in 2002 he led the team to their first state championship in 49 years.
His parents, Debra and William Humphries, and two older sisters Krystal and Kaela continue to be his biggest fans. They currently reside in Minneapolis Minnesota, where Kris grew up.
