Bio
Colin Donnell is an American actor best known for his starring role as Tommy Merlyn, the long-time best friend of Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), in the superhero fantasy television series Arrow.
Donnell was also seen in the period drama television series Pan Am and the Showtime drama series The Affair.
He was previously on Broadway in Jersey Boys and Anything Goes, for which he received a Drama Desk nomination for Outstanding Actor in a Musical, an Outer Critics Circle nomination for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Musical, and a Drama League nomination for Distinguished Performance.
Donnell's other stage credits include off-Broadway performances in Merrily We Roll Along, Follies, Meet Me in St. Louis and Almost Heaven, and the national tours of Wicked and Mamma Mia.
Donnell can also be found on the 2012 Cast Recording for Merrily We Roll Along and the New Broadway Cast Recording of Anything Goes, which received a Grammy nomination for Musical Theater Album.
A native of Saint Louis, Missouri, proud graduate of Indiana University, and New York City based, Donnell currently resides in Vancouver while filming.
In 2015 he began a starring role as Dr. Connor Rhodes, a trauma fellow who is brilliant, buttoned-down and trained to handle anything that might come through the hospital doors, on the medical drama television series Chicago Med.
