Emily Kinney is an American actress best known to television audiences for her starring role as Beth Greene on the horror series The Walking Dead.
She recurred on the second season of The Big C, playing the role of Emily. She has also made guest appearances on The Good Wife, Law & Order: SVU, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, The Unusuals and The Game Killers.
Kinney appeared in the Universal Pictures feature film It's Complicated, directed by Nancy Meyers, and in the independent film Concussion, directed by Stacie Passon.
Kinney is a New York City-based actress originally from Nebraska. Upon her arrival in New York, Kinney immediately made her Off-Broadway debut in Iphigenia 2.0 at the Signature Theatre, directed by Tina Landau. She then went on to play Wendy Darling in Alabama Shakespeare Festival's annual production of Peter Pan.
On Broadway, Kinney was seen as Anna in the Tony Award-winning production of Spring Awakening. She starred opposite Estelle Parsons as Jean Fordham in the First National Tour of August: Osage County.
Kinney is also a singer/songwriter. She released a five song EP entitled Blue Toothbrush, which was made available on iTunes and CdBaby. She plays her original music in different venues around New York City, including Rockwood Music Hall and Pianos.
Kinney loves to write and often shares her acting and NYC adventures by writing for Backstage Magazine.
