Jenny Laroche is an American actress, singer and dancer best known for her recurring role as Sue in the musical drama series Smash, from 2012-2013.
Laroche, originally from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is a graduate of the University at Buffalo where she trained in ballet, modern and jazz. She earned her bachelor's degree in dance performance, graduating Cum Laude.
Jenny soon moved to NYC to pursue her career and began working as a world famous Radio City Rockette in the Christmas Spectacular. She toured with the Radio City Rockettes performing in front of millions in large arenas around the country and at Radio City Music Hall.
Laroche made her big screen debut as a Radio City Rockette in the movie New Year's Eve.
As a performer and model she has worked with designers such as Diane Von Furstenburg and The Blonds. She has performed on the Today show and for the NBC up-front TV shows including 30 Rock, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Meet the Press and Parks & Recreation.
She has performed in televised award shows such as the TV Land awards with Liza Minnelli, and the Billboard awards with Beyonce Knowles. She also performed as Sienna in NYC Fringe Festival's Scandalous People and quickly fell in love with theatre.
When the TV series Smash, produced by Steven Spielberg, was picked up by NBC, Jenny auditioned for a dance scene and was soon offered the role of Sue, making this her TV debut as a recurring role in the series.
