Sammi Rotibi is a Nigerian-born American actor best known for his recurring role as Eben, a leader of Witch Hunters responsible for the slaughter on the night of the Boatyard Fire, in the supernatural drama series The Secret Circle, in 2012.
Raised in Nigeria, London and Miami, slipping into character in the strange worlds of the screen has come naturally to Sammi. Randomly discovered as a teen by a casting agent while working as a bank clerk, Sammi won a small role in the last episode of Miami Vice.
Bitten by the acting bug, Sammi honed his craft on the stage, including leads in Clifford Odet’s Paradise Lost and Shelagh Delaney’s A Taste of Honey.
Sammi landed colourful roles in Nicolas Cage's blockbuster Lord of War and Antoine Fuqua's Tears of the Sun, starring Bruce Willis.
With a tough guy persona developed on the big screen, Sammi has been a regular on gritty TV dramas such as CSI: NY, NYPD Blue and The District. He also appears in the Quentin Tarantino film Django Unchained, in 2013.
His birthday is 5 August.
