Bio
Daya Vaidya is a Nepalese actress best known for her starring role as Nina Inara in the police procedural television series Unforgettable.
Vaidya has worked extensively in film and television. Her television credits include NCIS, Two and a Half Men and Dexter. Her feature films include The Hit, Motives 2 and the independent film, Blue.
Vaidya was born in Kathmandu, Nepal. Her family relocated to Oakland, California, when she was 2. She began studying theatre and dance at age 11, and later studied both at UCLA.
In her sophomore year, Vaidya was accepted to the world-renowned Alvin Ailey Dance Theater of New York. After taking a year-long sabbatical from UCLA to dance on scholarship, she returned to school, where she changed her major to theatre.
She performed in more than 15 productions and went on to receive her BFA in Theater Arts with honors. Vaidya still makes time for theatre and dance, and is a member of the award-winning theatre company, Theatre Tribe.
When she is not on stage or in front of a camera, she loves to hike, jog, practice yoga, spend time with her family and body surf in the Pacific Ocean.
Vaidya lives in Los Angeles with her husband and daughter.
