Bio
Jabu Mahlangu (formerly known as Jabu Pule and commonly known as Ngwana wa Tshwenya) is a South African soccer player and actor who made 20 appearances for the South African national football team from 2000 to 2004 and was a participant at the 2002 FIFA World Cup and at the 2000 Olympic Games.
He played for a variety of football clubs - SV Mattersburg, SuperSport United, Orlando Pirates, Östers IF and F.C. Cape Town - but was best known for playing at his first club, Kaizer Chiefs.
Fired from most of those clubs for disciplinary reasons, he legally changed his name from Jabu Pule to Jabu Mahlangu in 2006.
In 2013 he made his acting debut in the recurring role of Pule, a has-been soccer star who now works as a hair stylist and shampoo boy, in the Mzansi Magic sitcom Samsokolo.
