Bio
Maximiliano Hernández (born 1973) is an American actor best known for his role as Agent Jasper Sitwell in the fantasy films Thor (2011) and The Avengers, in 2012.
He also starred as FBI Agent Chris Amador in the first season of the period drama television series The Americans, in 2013.
Hernández, a Brooklyn native, began acting in high school in order to get out of detention. Although his parents, both originally from Honduras, wanted him to study a trade, he chose to study the craft of acting.
After leaving the BFA program at Leonard Davis Center for the performing arts in Harlem, Hernández began working Off-Broadway at theatres like The Cherry Lane and The Public, and was a founding member of Axis, an experimental theatre company based at the Sheridan Lane Theater.
He then graduated to guest star on Law & Order and other New York-based TV shows and small parts on locally-shot films like Mira Nair's The Namesake and James Gray's The Yards. Hernández was then cast and worked opposite Edward Norton in Gavin O'Connor's Pride & Glory.
Since then, he and his family relocated to Los Angeles, where he co-starred on the Fox series K-Ville, and appeared on numerous other shows, including 24, Numb3rs and Shark.
He also had a major recurring role as Detective Towers in the mystery drama television series Ringer, from 2011-2012.
On the big screen, Hernández was seen in the Dreamworks/Nickelodeon film Hotel for Dogs. He also reunited with Gavin O'Connor on the film Warrior.
Hernández lives with his son, Diego, and his fiancée Marta Cabret in Pasadena.
