Mac Davis is an American country music singer, songwriter and actor whose early work included writing for Elvis Presley including the hits Memories, In the Ghetto and A Little Less Conversation.
A subsequent solo career in the 1970s produced huge hits, such as Baby, Baby, Don't Get Hooked On Me making him a well-known name in pop music. He also starred in his own variety show, a Broadway musical, and various films and TV shows.
He voiced several characters on the animated television show King of the Hill and had a recurring role as Carl on the sitcom Rodney, from 2004-2006.
