Elliot Makhubo is a South African actor best known for his role as businessman hustler Zondi in the e.tv soap opera Rhythm City, from 2010-2013.
He has had guest starring roles in numerous television series including uBizo, City Ses'la, Generations, Isidingo, Soul City, Backstage, Jozi Streets, Mzansi, Mtunzini.com, Zero Tolerance, Izoso Connexion and Intersexions.
Elliot has also acted in several feature films including Mr. Bones 2, Yesterday, Beat the Drum, Footskating 101, District 9 and Forgotten.
Born in Katlehong in 1972, he matriculated from Buhlebuzile Senior Secondary school in 1992. After school he attended the Tswane University of Technology (at the time called Technikon Pretoria), graduating in 1996.
He got the trademark scar on his forehead as a child after using his parents' bed as a trampoline and falling off to cut his head on the corner of a window.
In 2013 Elliot joined the cast of the Mzansi Magic soap opera Zabalaza in the recurring role of Lithebe, an ex-military sociopath who runs a security firm and who is the muscle behind Jazzman's armoured car heists.
In 2015 he starred in the SABC1 sitcom iThuba Lokugcina as Professor Milton, who sets up a programme that will help underachieving students get through their academic year successfully - a life skills/extra class programme within the varsity that the students are attending.
Also in 2015, he had a guest starring role in the e.tv drama series Umlilo.
