Bio
Carol Ralefeta is a South African radio DJ, journalist, MC and voice artist best known for hosting a show called The Divine Edge on commercial radio station Metro FM.
Born in the North West Province, she moved to Johannesburg at the age of five and completed her high schooling in 2000 at Hyde Park High in Sandton. She went on to the then RAU (Rand Afrikaans University, now called The University of Johannesburg) and graduated with a BA Journalism degree, majoring in Politics.
While at varsity she joined the campus radio station where she became the DJ Manager and radio presenter. She then moved on and worked for a month at Kaya FM on a learnership programme in the newsroom.
In 2004 she joined 94.7 Highveld Stereo as an intern journalist before becoming a reporter for both 94.7 and sister station 702. While at 94.7 she worked in the marketing department doing direct marketing as part of the Ground Patrol team and soon found herself on the airwaves full-time as a radio presenter at 94.7.
Carol hosted various shows on weekdays from 7pm to 10pm to weekdays pre-breakfast show 4am - 6am and spent a total of 7 years with Highveld Stereo.
In 2011 I she was offered the apportunity to join South Africa's largest Urban Commercial radio station - Metro FM - where she was host of The Divine Edge on Saturdays and The Divine Edge Sunday Edition from 10 p.m. to midnight.
She also writes for female magazine SOUL and various other publications.
Carol is also an MC and motivational speaker and during the week presents on retail station JET FM (which broadcasts live to Jet, Jet Mart and Diskom stores all across southern Africa.) She also finds time to do voiceover work and manages a make up agency.
She completed her make up certificate at LISOF in Rosebank in 2011 and studied for a second degree, a BA Honours in Brand Leadership, at the Vega School of Brand Leadership.
In 2013 she was the voiceover artist for the fourth season of the SABC2 music show Jam Sandwich, replacing Michelle Constant.
