Jenna Dewan-Tatum is an American actress and dancer best known for her leading role as accomplished dancer Nora Clark, a dance student partnered with a troubled student who is sent to spend his community service as a janitor, in the 2006 feature film Step Up.
Dewan-Tatum was born in Hartford, Connecticut and grew up in Grapevine, Texas where she discovered a love for dancing at the age of five.
She is a graduate of Grapevine High School and has also attended the University of Southern Califronia, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi.
Jenna was discovered by a dance agent and toured alongside some of the greatest in music entertainment, most notably Janet Jackson and Ricky Martin. She has also appeared in several music videos for artists such as Justin Timberlake, Mandy Moore and Missy Elliot.
She has also appeared in several television series including Quintuplets, The Young and the Restless, Joey and The Playboy Club.
In 2012, Dewan-Tatum appeared in American Horror Story: Asylum, the second season of the horror television series, as Teresa Morrison (the girlfriend of the character played by Adam Levine).
In 2006, Jenna met actor Channing Tatum on the set of their movie Step Up. They began dating shortly after filming had finished, became engaged in early September 2008 in Maui and married on July 11, 2009 in Malibu, California.
