Robbie Amell is a Canadian actor known for his numerous recurring roles on such shows as Life with Derek, True Jackson, VP, Unnatural History, Revenge and 1600 Penn.
He is also known for playing Fred Jones in the television films Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins and Scooby-Doo! Curse of the Lake Monster.
He also has a starring role as Stephen Jameson, a normal teenager until he began hearing voices and teleporting in his sleep, never knowing where he might wake up, in the science fiction television series The Tomorrow People.
Along with his sister, Amell started acting when he was six years old. At 16, he started to land theatre roles at Lawrence Park Stage in plays such as Louis and Dave, Picasso at the Lapin Agile and The Importance of Being Earnest.
Shortly after choosing to follow acting, he booked the part of Daniel Murtaugh in the major motion picture Cheaper by the Dozen 2, headed by names such as Steve Martin, Bonnie Hunt, Hilary Duff, Tom Welling and - of whom he played the son - Eugene Levy and Carmen Electra.
Robbie has played hockey since he was a child. He also takes Muay Thai and break dancing lessons and is the cousin of actor Stephen Amell.
