Chris Mapane is a South African comedian and actor best known for his role as Phanuel, the guy who gets into the wrong taxi, in the feature film Taxi Ride and its spin-off series of the same name.
He was a mentor for contestants on the SABC1 reality competition talent search So You Think You're Funny! and went on to feature in numerous comedy festivals and gigs including Blacks Only, Tshwane Comedy Festival, Soweto Comedy Festival, King Size Comedy Bash and Y-FM.
In 2013 he was one of the featured comedians in the April edition of Comedy Central Presents... Live @ Parker's, hosted by Basketmouth.
