Bio
Skhumba Hlophe is a South African comedian, radio presenter and actor best known for his starring role as Bheki Zulu, the overbearing mechanic father of the title character, in the SABC1 sitcom Thandeka's Diary.
He is also known for his role as Dlamini in the feature film Taxi Ride and its spin-off series of the same name.
Skhumba was one of Nubreed Comedy's Young Gunz who appeared at the Soweto Comedy Festival in 2010 and was also a featured comedian in the first ever Stand Up Zulu festival at the Playhouse in Durban in February 2011.
In 2012 he joined the SABC1 youth talk show Mzansi Insider as a contributor.
In 2016, Skhumba had a guest role in the third season of the SABC1 sitcom Ses'Top La. He was also the featured guest on an episode of Zaziwa, which aired on 30 June, 2016.
The following year he began hosting the SABC1 comedic talk show Throwback Thursday, a weekly series in which he unpacks the main stories on social media from the past week.
From May to July, 2017, he co-hosted (with Boity Thulo) the advertiser-funded motoring review show Change Down, on Mzansi Magic.
