Daniel Lissing is an Australian actor best known for his starring role as Navy Seal James King, who finds himself on a Zodiac in the middle of the Indian Ocean after an operation in Pakistan goes south when the Colorado picks them up, in the action thriller television series Last Resort, from 2012-2013.
One of Australia's rising stars, Lissing landed his first series regular role in the U.S. on Last Resort.
Lissing's credits in Australia include being a series regular on Crownies and playing the lead role in the feature film The Cure, which was shot in New Zealand and directed by David Gould.
Additional credits include the feature film John Doe and numerous television series such as Cops: LAC, Out of the Blue, Packed to the Rafters and Home and Away.
Lissing is a popular singer/songwriter and performs to packed houses all over Sydney. Worth noting, he has performed for the Australian troops serving overseas in East Timor (Pacific Islands) and was formally recognised for his peacekeeping efforts by the Australian Defence Force.
Lissing was chosen by Inside Film magazine as one of "Australia's Rising Talents" in their June/July 2012 issue and Australia's TV Week magazine included him in their "Australia's Sexiest Blokes on Television" issue.
