William Stanford Davis is an American actor best known for his recurring role as Potato Pie, who works at the boxing gym, in the television drama series Ray Donovan.
Davis, born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, got his start in an R&B band as a youngster and remained the front man throughout his college years.
Soon to be bitten by the comedy bug, he spent the next few years working at many of the comedy clubs across the country, where he discovered his true passion for acting.
He has acted in numerous television series including The Practice, Ally McBeal, Bette, Touched by an Angel, The District, Cold Case, Angel, The Guardian, The Shield, LAX, Desperate Housewives, The Closer, Passions, Shark, Saving Grace, Lincoln Heights, Bones and Shameless.
