Bio
Vincent M. Ward is an American actor best known for his recurring role as Oscar, a former burglar who found in the prison by Rick and the group, in the third season of the television horror series The Walking Dead, in 2012.
He made his onscreen debut in 2000 when he landed a role in the hit blockbuster film Traffic and has since then appeared in other box office favourites such as Ocean's 11 and Bringing Down the House.
In high school he was an All-American athlete who enjoyed playing football and baseball before selecting basketball as his sport of choice. He excelled throughout high school and became known as one of the best players in the state of Ohio.
After graduation, Ward switched gears to explore his love of dance, forming a Hip-Hop dance group and traveling with other performers who toured with the likes of Public Enemy, MC Light, X-Clan, MC Hammer, and the late Heavy D among others.
Ward relocated to Fort Walton Beach, Florida in an effort to further his career in dance, a move that would prove less promising as time progressed. Soon he was at a cross-road and decided to head back to school to take another shot at basketball.
Vincent received a scholarship to play basketball at South Suburban College in Chicago, Illinois. He maintained for two and a half years and during this time, he fathered two children. Life would find him back home in Dayton shortly thereafter where he settled for work at companies like General Motors (GM) and Champs Sports.
In his quest for a better career and quality of life, he began to look toward Man of the Year and Sexiest Man of the Year respectively. The competitions allowed Ward to segue into acting and his passion for the artistry was instantaneous.
Even with no formal training, Vincent was able to secure a spot with a traveling Theatre company whose goal was to produce thought provoking and educational stage plays.
Since then he has been featured in a number of sold out productions including Men Cry Too, Nylons, Heaven Bound, and Come Sunday.
He secured recurring roles in Everybody Hates Chris and The Starter Wife and has also appeared in primetime shows Hot in Cleveland, NCIS, True Blood, House of Payne and Wilfred.
