Bio
Marcel Maximilian (formerly known as Marcel Schoeman) is a South African singer, artist and former actor best known to television viewers for his starring role as Fransie in the period drama series Torings, in 1994, for which he was nominated for an Artes Award for Best Actor.
His professional experience pertaining to dramatic arts included revue, cabaret, comedy, children's theatre and radio dramas. He did corporate video's and voice work for advertising and dubbing from 1991-1999, including various voices for animation.
In later years he has mainly concentrated on fine art (oil painting). His other interests are singing, playing the guitar and harmonica.
Marcel performs under the stage name Marcel Maximilian and could be seen in a touring show which included songs by Bob Dylan.
His hobbies comprise hiking, taking the scenic route and playing squash.
