Bio
Leandri Scholtz is a South African actress best known for her starring role as Thea de Witt in the kykNET period drama series Donkerland, in 2013.
Born and raised in an extremely small rural town, she fell in love with the art of dance as she trained in classical ballet, modern dance as well as minor tap- and hip-hop dance, achieving her teacher's diploma in modern dance by the age of 16.
As she grew up, various small scale performances in school plays as well as dance performances awoke a new found love for the stage and thus for the spotlight.
She completed her degree in Drama and theatre arts at the University of the Free State in 2011.
Leandri is not only a skilled and versatile actress and dancer but also trained in various other elements of the theatre including; stage management, technical aspects such as lighting and sound design as well as art and décor designing for staged productions.
In her three years of training, she performed in Shakespearian, children's, comedy, drama, realism as well as Avant Garde theatre productions.
In 2011 she starred in and directed a two men play, Kallie Hy Kô Hys Toe, based on Adam Small's groundbreaking play, Kanna, Hy Kô Hys Toe.
