Bio
Avan Jogia is a Canadian actor, singer and dancer best known for his starring television roles as Beck Oliver on Victorious and as Danny Desai in Twisted.
Vancouver native Jogia landed his first acting role as Danny on the award-winning TV movie, A Girl like Me: The Gwen Araujo Story, directed by Oscar nominee Agnieszka Holland.
Jogia followed that with a recurring role on the SyFy Channel's hit drama Caprica. Demonstrating his range, he shifted to comedy for a recurring role on Aliens in America and received wide public acclaim for his lead role as Beck on the Emmy-nominated Nickelodeon series Victorious.
With a special interest in youth, human rights and equality, Jogia lends his considerable enthusiasm to numerous charitable organisations. He visits schools and contributes PSAs as an Ambassador for the Peace First Organization.
He also hosts the PBS public service series Reel Works and is founder of the nationally recognised charitable organisation Straight But Not Narrow (SBNN).
Jogia is interested in all facets of the industry and has succeeded in producing, writing and directing two short films, Alex and Compound. He enjoys cultivating his independent spirit with aspirations to direct.
He currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
