Bio
Stephen Louis Grush is an American actor best known for his starring role as Nicky Korzak, Matt's reckless but slyly charming younger brother who has always been a bit of a screw-up, but after a stint in prison is now out on parole and trying to better himself, in the short-lived drama series Lucky 7.
Grush has appeared in numerous films, among them the feature Shreveport, directed and co-written by Ryan Phillippe; At Any Price, opposite Zac Efron and Dennis Quaid; as well as Night Lights, Lac du Flambeau, Left Alone and The Express.
He has had guest appearances on such television shows as The Mob Doctor, The Chicago Code, Detroit 1-8-7 and Starting Under.
Born in Louisiana, Grush migrated to Chicago to study at the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University, where he received his BFA. While there, he appeared in many plays, including several at the famed Steppenwolf Theater.
Some of these included The March, Sex with Strangers, The Tempest, Topdog/Underdog, True West, Cymbeline, A True History of the Johnstown Flood, Oedipus Complex and Pericles.
Grush has also written and performed with the award-winning sketch comedy collective, The Cool Table, and is the Founding Artistic Director of X111 Pocket, a Chicago-based multi-media company focused on the development of original works.
Lucky 7 reunited Grush with executive producers Jason Richman and David Zabel, who cast him as a guest star in their previous series, Detroit 1-8-7.
His birthday is 23 April.
