Bio
Mlamli Mangcala is a South African MC, actor and sports commentator best known for his role as German Jale, a slimy character who can't be trusted to tell the time of day without wanting something in return, in the SABC2 political drama television series 90 Plein Street.
Mangcala is as comfortable in front of the camera as he is behind the microphone. A qualified radiographer, he instead chose a career speaking to audiences. He has hosted many live and recorded events globally and acted on a handful of television programmes.
He acted in a FIFA movie titled More Than Just A Game and has appeared on a number of television series including Unyana Womntu, Khululeka, Thetha Msawawa, Stokvel, Shooting Stars and Intersexions.
He dabbles on Radio Umhlobo Wenene as a freelance sports presenter and also works part time as a content researcher.
After completing school Mlamli attended Cape Province University of Technology. He graduated as a diagnostic radiographer and specialises in lithotripsy.
Strictly come Dancing is Mlamli's favourite TV show because "I would love to participate and win one day". His favourite movie is John Q because "it is very educational in terms of father and son relationships and the spirit of not giving up".
In his leisure time Mlamli goes to gym and enjoys reading books by Ellen G Whites because she inspires him and helps him understand this life and the spiritual life. Xenophobia makes him angry and he has an unfulfilled ambition to start a children's NGO.
He is married to Thotyelwa and has two children.
