Simone McAullay is an Australian actress best known for her starring role as Becca Fisher, the local hotel owner who is also having an affair with Mark Latimer, in the mystery crime drama television series Broadchurch, in 2013.
McAullay took dance lessons in Ballet and Jazz from an early age and continued until the age of 12. Next she decided to begin playing the cello and played volleyball. For three years she represented Australia in many volleyball tournaments.
After graduating from high school she entered Curtin University but never finished as she decided travel around the world. She visited Adelaide, Byron Bay, England, France, Spain and Thailand.
Without any formal training in acting she auditioned for the Actors Centre in Sydney, from where she graduated in 2000.
From 2003-2006 she played the role of Susie Raynor on the police drama Blue Heelers and later had roles on Home and Away and The Strip.
