Bio
Ziyon (real name Jonathan Hamilton) is an American-born South African DJ, vocalist and producer best known as one of the members of the soul/house duo Liquideep, who formed in 2007.
With his partner Thabo "Ryzor" Shokgolo, Ziyon first grabbed attention with the House Afrika Sessions release Oscillations (2009) – and cemented Liquideep's standing as one of the country's leading house groups with 2010's Fabrics of the Heart.
That album went on to win a South African Music Award, earning Ziyon and Ryzor a countrywide fanbase that has eagerly snapped up the duo’s follow-up records, including 2013’s Welcome Aboard.
In 2014 he was the Choirmaster for the Western Cape region on the second season of the Mzansi Magic reality competition Clash of the Choirs. He also had a guest starring role on the Mzansi Magic soap opera isiBaya.
